What led you to venture into being an artist initially?
Maybe curiosity and a constant need to explore.
How long have you been an artist?
Since 2011 / 13 years
Where you apprehensive or confident taking the step of becoming an artist?
Definitely apprehensive. In the beginning everything was new and unknown, but after some time I did “equipped” myself with confidence and that curious part of my personality took the main role in my art adventure.
Perks & Struggles
What are the perks of being an artist?
Art is a great therapy, especially in today’s world filled with stress and also it’s great to meet other artists who shares the same passion.
And on the flip side, what are the struggles you face?
The main problem is that very few people consider art as a profession, most of the people look at art as a hobby, they just don’t understand how much artists invests in themselves and the finances that go into the art.
Work-life
Do you separate your work an private life?
Yes, my job is totally different from my art practice and for me it’s very easy to separate it.
What are the sacred tools you couldn’t work without?
Imagination and tiny brushes.
Has art helped you in your life journey?
Yes of course. It helped me grow as a person and I meet a lot of cool people, some of them are artists and some of them appreciate art. Some of these people helped me a lot in my art journey.
Retrospective
What are some important lessons you have learned as an artist?
Create as much as you can, don’t worry is it good or not, because quality always come after quantity. Don’t be afraid or ashamed to present what you do, you never know who’s going to like it.
What is the purpose of art according to you? And what is the purpose of yours?
Art is a great way to send messages addressing political or social issues. Besides that, art is also helpful with people who survived some stressful situations, so it can be said that the purpose of art have many levels and dimensions, from problem addressing to problem solver.
Future
Where do you want to be in 5 years?
I hope art will be my main job, to use all of my time in creating it and showing it.
