Hi, I’m glad you’re here.

Freelancer. Art enthusiast. Stationery nerd. Vegetarian. Nature-walker. Tech tinkerer. Jazz and hip-hop listener. Coffee snob. Philosophy reader. Also: someone who really loves cheering on freelancers trying to carve out a life that feels like their own.
My freelance story (and a little background)
I’m originally from France and after two buzzing, bike-filled decades in the Netherlands, I returned home in 2023, British husband in tow, to trade city life for something a little slower, greener, and more grounded.
My freelance story began at 19. I had a stubborn streak and a very clear allergy to authority. Office culture never fit. So freelancing wasn’t just a career move, it was a form of self-respect. And over the years, it became the thing that shaped me.
Since then, I’ve messed up more times than I can count, learned on the go, and figured out my own kind of success, not flashy, but meaningful. This blog is where I share those lessons, in case they spark something in you too.
What I love (and share here)
This site is part journal, part inspiration shelf, part pep-talk corner. You’ll find:
- thoughts on freelance life
- honest reviews of beautifully-made products (yes, I swoon over great paper and smart tech)
- interviews with creatives doing their thing in interesting ways
- reflections on creativity, independence, and figuring stuff out
- a curated hub of the things I think are genuinely worth your time
Who this is for
Whether you’ve been freelancing for years or are just toying with the idea, whether you’re a designer, illustrator, writer, or someone who simply appreciates thoughtful, beautiful work, you’re in the right place.
This blog is for the creatively self-employed, the freelance-curious, and anyone building a life that feels intentional.
Quality over quantity
If I’m going to write something, it has to be useful, thoughtful, and grounded. I’m not into filler.
Impact over noise
I want this space to inspire and connect, not just broadcast. Quiet power, not loud fluff.
Integrity, always
What you read here is honest. I don’t sugarcoat or fake it. If I recommend something, it’s because I’ve tried it, loved it, or think it genuinely adds value.
Transparency
When there’s a partnership, sponsorship, or affiliation, you’ll know. No fine print or vague disclaimers.
